| This is a dicey post on my part but i need to know!I will not mention the program used but i would like to know is it possible to make the smoke screen larger? There are those out there who will know the answer and i ask that the program used is not made public.I am only asking because i think that a larger screen of smoke would be more realistic and open up many strategic moves.I do not mean adding more smoke ammo / just increasing its effects. Can it be done? |

There is no way to do that, Keg (in my opinion).
What frag says, giving more smoke ammo, could of course be done. Increasing rate of smoke fire would be dicey, because I think rate of the launcher firing is same for all projectiles fired, so you speed up smoke, you speed up the others too (bad).
I don\'t even think the smoke cloud could be made to simply last longer once it is on the ground. No variable for that.
I think we are stuck with smoke in CC2 just like it is, which is pretty much a double-edged sword in my experience, half the time you try to use it, you are the one that ends up getting killed.
I have never looked specifically at this issue, and I could possibly be wrong.

KEG
The size of the smoke cloud can be made larger, but like Homba said, I don\'t think you can make it last for any longer period of time.
If you want more details, email me and I\'ll let you know what needs to be done with the unmentionable program. |

yes.. simple.. restrict the amount of air getting to your gear. experiment with the hole(s) size till you find the smallest possible while allowing the gurn to still smoulder and burn.
or, as stated above, pack more in your sack.

Actually im glad i saw this post as it reminds me of something i have never taken the time to figure out properly.
Wheres the best place to lay smoke to achieve maximum effect, when trying to hide friendly troops - in front of the enemy, in front of your own troops, or between the two? Or all three?
First correct answer wins a copy of my learn from home video \"Capturing the Arnhem Rail Bridge in 5 Easy Stages\" presented by Eminem. |

| I have used smoke to effect on several maps,my most memorable was a veg bridge where i had a stu near the bridge and spotted a mk3 across the canal in the southern feild.I layed smoke from morts in the feild between both and had the bonus of my opponent saying he just lost sight of me after having green los. I have also found it works very well in city streets between buildings ,especially as cover from armored units covering the lanes>I m still waiting on the details to improve the screen and to see if it makes any difference or is just eye candy. If it does make smoke a viable alternative then i will see if others are interested in its enhancement. |

Tog , I have the program but when i open it all the info is on the top two lines. How can i make it like the screens you sent me?
Thnx in advance. |

I increased the smoke size of the 81 mm mortar team for the example.
